Front Office Trainee: The Role
The Front Office Trainee assists in managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for guests. This role involves greeting guests, handling registrations efficiently, and providing information about hotel services and promotions while supporting the front office team in daily tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handling all formalities for individual and group arrivals, departures, and queries
- Greetings and checking in of guests
- Putting guest care as a priority, with every effort being made to meet guests’ needs and demands
- Answering phone calls and emails promptly and in a professional manner that reflects the Hotel Brand
- Performing General switchboard duties
- Familiarisation with the Hyatt Scores and other Review Platforms
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the sales and front office areas, credit policy, different room types and hotel services
- Working closely with other departments to ensure proper communication
- Check for any early arrivals and late departures, ensure rooms are allocated & inform HK
- Make sure that all PM accounts are checked in for the day
- Around 07:30, inform Housekeeping about any welcome cards or any other items that need to be delivered during the day.
- Check room discrepancies.
- Check in the Arrivals for any Day Use room.
- Check guest allocation of the Day, extra Arrivals
- Check guest preferences report for today & tomorrow, notify departments as required
- Check traces, Room Moves, Late Check Outs, Early Departure, Extensions and Stayovers- Update the Daily Amendment Sheet & Inform Relevant departments
- Check Online Check-in Activity and Online Express Check.
- Update HSK with the Late Check Outs and follow up on Queue Rooms
- Review the VIP amenities list for the current day for accuracy
- Follow up on Room Moves
- Update Profiles of Arrived Guests on Opera
- Prepare for handover and update the Logbook
- Empty express checkout box & disinfect and restock items
- Close Cashier – Solve any discrepancies before leaving
Housekeeping Trainee: The Role
The Housekeeping Trainee will collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Executive Housekeeper to implement innovative approaches to housekeeping services, while maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role is designed to develop future leaders by exposing them to all aspects of the department’s operations and standards. The Housekeeping Trainee collaborate with housekeeping supervisors to help lead the department in achieving and exceeding brand expectations, offering comprehensive guidance and support
Duties and Responsibilities
- To supervise the implementation of housekeeping standard & procedure.
- Housekeeping trainee will start by having shadow training in all sections of the housekeeping department (room cleaning, public area cleaning, linen keeper and supervisor).
- Assist with periodic reviews of housekeeping, laundry processes, identifying means of increasing quality, productivity, and efficiency within the department.
- Supports communication to the team and management of realistic, measurable housekeeping standards, objectives and goals (service standards, budget targets, etc.) to be achieved.
- Ensures that all daily tasks are completed accurately by the housekeeping team and guest requests are managed effectively or communicated to the relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Ensures that high communication levels are maintained with the department as well as with maintenance, Front Office and F&B to proactively take action on the needs and changes in demand levels of the hotel operation.
- Liaises with and controls the necessary repair and maintenance work, including special projects, which are executed by the relevant departments or contractors to maintain an efficient and well-maintained operation.
- Establishes and ensures safe working conditions and practices are applied throughout the hotel by the housekeeping staff.
- Maintains effective communication with the department and ensures that the Executive Housekeeper or her representative is kept well informed of any problems/queries.
- Reports any problems/complaints to the Executive Housekeeper or her senior.
- Knows all the hotel facilities and hours of operation.
- Prints all housekeeping related report and performs all clerical work in the office.
- Controls the issuing and receiving of all keys and telephones and ensures they are correctly signed in and out.
- Receives, records, stores, returns and clears all Lost and Found items as per the hotel policy.
- Spots check the housekeeping storerooms to ensure supplies are ordered on time and compile the weekly store orders for the department. Ensure that all housekeeping storerooms are neatly arranged and well-maintained at all times.
- Participates in housekeeping inventories if inventories are carried out during the time of internship.
- Ensure that no chemical, toiletries and amenity wastage is allowed.
- Trains the housekeeping team according to the standard laid down by the hotel
- Open/close shift, assign staff to designated areas & close all keys
- Attend training courses as per Hyatt standards.
- Ensure that guest requests are completed within a few minutes as per standard.
- Ensure safety and hygiene standards are respected.
- Report anything considered health & safety hazard.
- Prevent the abuse and/or destruction of hotel property.
- To be fully aware of all health & security procedures & follow these at all times
Commis Chef: The Role
The Commis Chef plays an essential role in supporting the day-to-day culinary operations by preparing ingredients, assisting in cooking processes, and maintaining hygiene and quality standards. Working closely with senior chefs, this position contributes to a smooth kitchen workflow and supports junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

- Plan, prepare, and cook menu items as instructed, following company recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the smooth and efficient running of your designated section, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Support with stock-taking activities when required and help manage inventory levels to reduce waste.

- Adhere to the company’s Hygiene, Health, and Safety policies, ensuring all food safety regulations are met.

Commis Waiter: The Role
The Commis Waiter plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by supporting the front-of-house team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a prestigious hospitality environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate good knowledge of Food & beverage offerings.
- Preparation and laying of tables.

Front Office Trainee: The Role
The Front Office Trainee supports daily front desk operations while learning to deliver excellent guest service. This role assists in welcoming guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and promoting hotel services under the guidance of senior front office staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome arriving guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures following hotel standards.
- Support the preparation and organisation of the front desk area and required materials.
- Help manage reservations received through online platforms and telephone inquiries.
- Record and update guest information accurately during registration.
- Provide guests with basic information about payment methods and assist in processing payments under supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in cleaning and servicing guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, towels, crockery, and minibar items.
- Ensure vacant rooms are clean, tidy, and ready for arriving guests.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor.
- Support deep cleaning activities and periodic mattress turning.
- Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, service areas, and housekeeping storage rooms.
