Finance Executive (Accounts Payable)

The role

Bay Street Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Executive (Accounts Payable) to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in hotel financial operations who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of the purchase ledger, supporting the Group’s overall financial performance and ensuring strong financial controls within our hotel operations.

Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Administer day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate management of the purchase ledger within our hotel operations, including invoice processing and proper allocations in respective nominal accounts.
• Assist in the testing and monitoring of internal controls within the Purchase Ledger function.
• Help establish and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads, to gather information and provide financial insights.
• Prepare reports, assist in audit processes, and follow up on pending invoices by chasing suppliers.
• Carry out other ad hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a finance department in purchase invoicing within a hospitality industry will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments.
