As part of it’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Bay Street Group has donated €1,000 to the Richmond Foundation, supporting its ongoing work in providing care and assistance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
The donation was raised during the Group’s annual staff party, bringing together employees from across Bay Street Group’s portfolio, including be.HOTEL Malta, Rainforest Cafe Malta, Hyatt Regency Malta, and Bay Street Shopping Complex. A long-standing raffle tradition was reimagined as a meaningful corporate social responsibility initiative. Rather than simply maintaining the tradition, employees were encouraged to contribute towards a cause that reflects the values of the organisation and the hospitality industry it serves.
Commenting on the initiative, Rachel Galdes, Group HR Manager at Bay Street Group, said:
“Working in hospitality, we see first-hand the pressures that people can face, which is why mental health awareness is something I am particularly passionate about. The Richmond Foundation does incredible work behind the scenes, supporting individuals who need it most, and it felt like a natural choice for us.”
She added:
“What made this initiative especially meaningful was the response from our teams. The Senior Leadership Team were fully supportive from the outset, and many colleagues continued to donate even after the raffle draw had taken place.
